Haryana government takes big step: 'Sanjeevani' project launched for corona patients, started from Karnal as a pilot project

Under the scheme, corona patients will be cared for in rural areas.

The Haryana Government has taken a major step in the Corona era. Sanjivani project has been launched for Corona patients. Chief Minister Manohar Lal launched the project through video conference on Monday. As a pilot project, it has been started from Karnal. The plan will expand medical care in rural areas where awareness of the spread of the second wave of the virus and treatment for the disease is low.

The government spokesperson has given this information. He informed that through this ‘Sanjeevani Yojana’, patients with mild to moderate symptoms of covid-19 will be cared for at their home. This would not make them leave home for treatment nor go to the hospital. This will reduce the pressure on hospitals. The government believes that more than 90 percent of patients can be treated at home by taking care.

Advantages of the scheme…

The availability of beds in hospitals will provide an integrated command and control center for managing critical resources such as oxygen supply, ambulance tracking and door-to-door awareness campaigns. The project will operate the covid Hotline, which will enhance the capabilities of existing call centers to provide basic training and guidance to patients with suspected or treated covid-19 clinics.

Apart from medical interns, it will expand the scope of medical advice by mobilizing 200 medical final year and pre-final year students and connecting them with mentors and experts. Covid-19 will enhance telemedicine and virtual health capabilities to provide treatment and monitoring to mild to moderate patients. Home care kits will be distributed, including a mask, an oximeter, a thermometer and basic medicines. Additional ambulances will be procured and mobile pharmacies will be developed.
