Haryana government gives big relief to building workers, read news
Chandigarh Various types of facilities are being provided to the building workers through various schemes by the Government of Haryana. Haryana Building and Construction Labor Welfare Board is giving Rs 51,000 as donation for the marriage of the daughter of the laborers. This amount is given to three daughters of laborers. Similarly, interest free loan up to Rs 2 lakh is provided for purchase or construction of house and Rs 5 lakh assistance is also provided on death of laborers under Mukhyamantri Social Security Scheme.
Giving this information, a government spokesperson said that the board was given Rs. 2 thousand per month under widow pension, Rs. 36 thousand for maternity benefit, Rs. 21 thousand for paternity benefit, workers for purchasing new tools once in 5 years. 8 thousand rupees, registered women workers are given an amount of Rs. 5100 for purchasing sarees, suits, slippers, rain coats, umbrellas, rubber mattresses, utensils and napkins etc. at the time of renewal of their membership. Similarly, a financial amount of 3 thousand rupees is given to the workers for buying bicycles while women workers are given sewing machines.
He informed that the second class and ordinary roadways buses of the railways are paid to the registered worker and 4 members of his family once in four years to visit religious and historical sites. Similarly, children of registered workers who are declared 50 percent or more physically or mentally incapacitated and disabled by the Medical Authority are given assistance of Rs 2 thousand per month. In the case of Permanent disability in an accident at the workplace the registered worker is given a one-time financial assistance ranging from Rs 1.5 to Rs 3 lakh depending on the disability percentage. A pension of 3 thousand rupees per month is also given to him due to disability due to some infectious disease or accident at work place.
