Guest teacher’s son had ordered a trimmer from Amazon, the thug asked for refund and defrauded the bank
Online shopping is getting expensive for the people of Panipat. When there is a problem with the goods ordered online, people call with the company number related to Google and lose their blood-sweat earnings by being caught in the thugs. A guest teacher’s son ordered a trimmer from Amazon.
Took the number from Google to contact the company to return it if they did not like it. That number turned out to be a thug. The thug asked for the details of the bank account to be refunded. 83 thousand rupees were deducted from the guest teacher’s account as soon as he gave the details. The victim has filed a case at the Sector-29 police station.
Rakesh, a resident of Siwah village, is a guest teacher in a school. He told that his son had ordered the trimmer from Amazon. The price of which was 1399 rupees. He had already paid for the trimmer. The son did not like it when he came to Tremor.
Son took the number of the Amazon company from Google and called him for a refund. That number was that of a thug. The thug said yes to the refund and sent a link asking him to fill the details of the bank account. The son filled the details of his account. Shortly after, instead of getting refund in his account, 83 thousand rupees were cut in two times. Now only 657 rupees are left in his account.
Take the number from the website of the company concerned, not from Google
If you have to get a number to contact a bank, online shopping company, mall etc. then search the website of that company on Google, not directly from Google. There is an option in the name of ‘Contact Us’ on all the company’s websites. Apart from this, helpline numbers are also given on the website. To avoid fraud, just call these numbers and solve your problem.
