Police in Karnal got information about 4 miscreants arrested on Thursday. In addition to Haryana, there are cases of murder, looting in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. It is learned that a few days ago, the accused tried to shoot and rob a businessman here as well.
Among the accused are Dilnawaz alias Pankaj alias Abid alias Salman, a resident of Nonhauta in Saharanpur, Ahtsham of Gangoh, Sahil of Ward 13 in Gharaunda and Sanjeev of village Tatka in Kurukshetra district. An illegal 32-bore pistol has been recovered from their possession. The inquiry revealed that he along with his 5th partner Deepak alias Deepu, a resident of Sallapur in Bijnor district, shot a shop owner in Gharaunda and tried to loot the cash. The incident dates back to April 9, 2021, when three youths came riding on a bike at the Gharaunda shop of Juneja Trading Company owner Vinod Juneja with the intention of robbing and the accused fired on the shop owner with a pistol. In this incident, Vinod Juneja was shot in the stomach, but the robbery plot could not succeed due to his understanding. In this regard, a case under IPC 397, 398 and Arms Act was registered against unknown on the statement of Amrish Kumar, who works at the shop. Investigation revealed that the incident was carried out by Dilnavaz, Ahtsham and Deepak. Sahil had made the information available and Sanjeev had left the three from their car by bringing Gharaunda before the incident. Also, the bike was made available.
According to the police, the gang leader Dilnawaz was booked on 5 December 2020 at the police station under the IPC sections 170, 171, 397, 398, 419 and section 25 of the Arms Act 1959 on the statement of Sunil Kumar Vasi village Chora. In this, the robbery was attempted by being a fake officer of the Income Tax Department. Sonu, Raman Kanda alias Karna, Dilnavaz, Mangal alias Chacha Batoule, PS Jaiswal, Neha and Salindra alias Lambu were present in the execution of this incident. Among these, Dilnavaz and female accused Ishu were absconding.
On 24 November 2020, on the complaint of Pramod Kumar Arya at Thana Gharaunda, a case was registered against unknown persons under Section 307, 392, 506, 511 of IPC besides Section 25 of the Arms Act. Investigation found that bike riders Sonu and Dilnavaz had come with the intention of robbing, but failed. Sonu has already been arrested.
Apart from this, it has been learned that the four newly arrested accused used to carry out serious incidents like robbery and robbery outside at the behest of their jailed colleagues. Dilnawaz has 20 cases against transformer theft, robbery, robbery and attempt to murder in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. A case in Saharanpur is declared most wanted.
Ahatsham has 4 cases registered in Saharanpur district under robbery, snatching, attempt to murder and Arms Act. After his arrest, he was running out on bail. A case has been registered against Sanjeev in the district Kurukshetra for robbing a vehicle. He was also out on bail. On the other hand, a case of illegal liquor smuggling has been registered against Sahil in the district Karnal in the year 2017 and the accused in this case has been in jail.
