Government agency will buy 25 percent of the produce
The Haryana government has also included millet in the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana. This decision will be implemented from this Kharif season in the interest of farmers. Haryana is the first state in the country to implement this. Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that many decisions have been taken regarding the purchase of millet.
The difference between the average market price of Bajra and MSP will be considered as Bhavantar. After verification of the crops of the registered farmers on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora portal, the farmers found correct will be given Rs 600 per quintal Bhavantar on average yield. The minimum support price for millet has been fixed at Rs 2250 per quintal. To maintain the yield price, the government agency will buy 25 percent of the produce at the market price.
The Chief Minister said that the neighboring states of Rajasthan and Punjab have not declared any MSP of millet. It seems that they will not buy millet this time as before. In such a situation, there is a possibility of millet coming from these states to Haryana. Therefore, Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana has been implemented to buy millet from the farmers of Haryana only. Those who have registered on the ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora’ portal, only their crops will be purchased
In Kharif-season 2021, 2 lakh 71 thousand farmers have registered on Meri Fasal-Mera Byora Portal for millet. Out of this, millet has been verified on about 8 lakh 65 thousand acres of land. As soon as the procurement starts, Rs 600 per quintal will be paid according to the average yield through DBT in the accounts of the farmers. This payment will be made only to the verified farmers on the ‘Meri Fasal-Mera Byora’ portal.
